Job Description
The job description entails creating several Tableau dashboards to visualize business analysis.
The role involves understanding customer requirements and creating a design document that outlines the number of dashboards, graph types, algorithms, and business logics required.
The candidate must have experience connecting Tableau to a SQL database and designing dashboards.
The job also involves iterative work on formatting, alignments, and the overall look and feel of the dashboard.
Additionally, data quality testing will be conducted by comparing the dashboard output to the database, while functional testing will involve checking filters, navigation, and other features.
The job requires publishing the dashboards on a server and giving access to users.
Lastly, feedback will be collected from end-users and modifications made to the dashboards accordingly.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of data visualization tools, specifically Tableau Desktop.
They should possess hands-on experience in developing interactive dashboards and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
The candidate should have a good understanding of complex calculations such as Level of Detail calculations, as well as using filters, parameters, and hierarchy in Tableau.
They should also be familiar with sets, groups, and bins, as well as joins, unions, and data blending.
In addition, the candidate should be able to create various charts, including bars, stacked bars, doughnut charts, heatmaps, and be able to use coordinates to create maps. The candidate must also have end-to-end experience in designing and deploying data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
They should be a quick learner and able to think critically, with good communication skills both verbally and in written form.
