Job Description
Tesla – Frontend Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications and systems within the team’s domain.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code to introduce new features and resolve issues.
- Create unit and integration tests, and work with the QA team to ensure smooth regression testing for new updates.
- Monitor system performance, address alerts, and resolve production issues promptly.
- Analyze existing system functionality and recommend technical improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business teams to plan and prioritize feature development.
- Communicate project updates, including changes in timelines, dependencies, and challenges, to stakeholders.
- Manage the entire development lifecycle of features, from design to production release.
- Enhance the scalability, maintainability, and performance of applications.
- Document new technologies and application features for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTTP, REST, AJAX, and JSON.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6), with a deep understanding of DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Solid understanding of database operations, particularly querying and updating SQL databases.
- Comprehensive knowledge of REST principles and best practices for RESTful API development.
- Strong grasp of design principles and patterns, particularly in React.
- Familiarity with front-end development tools like Vite, NPM, and Yarn.
- Experience with GraphQL is a valuable advantage.
