Trellix Off Campus Hiring 2025 – Software Engineer – Apprentice

Role Summary:

This is a 12-month apprenticeship program designed for individuals looking to enhance their understanding of company operations and gain hands-on experience with products and technologies. (Duration and focus may differ depending on the role.)

Position Responsibilities:

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-organized code that meets functional and quality standards.
• Use object-oriented principles for designing and analyzing software; apply appropriate design patterns for scalable and manageable solutions.
• Participate actively in team code reviews and collaborate with senior developers for quality improvements.
• Create unit tests to ensure code reliability and assist QA engineers in developing automated tests.
• Adhere to established engineering protocols to ensure software quality and contribute to platform innovation (Windows/Linux).
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using Python or similar technologies.
• Operate within virtual environments such as VMware Workstation or ESX Server.
• Engage with cloud services (e.g., AWS), integrate security testing, and work on cloud-based development initiatives.
• Collaborate with global engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure adherence to best practices in solution design.
• Create, document, and continuously enhance internal tools and automated systems for code deployment and lifecycle management on cloud infrastructure.

Candidate Profile:

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases, networking principles, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with development tools like Visual Studio, debuggers, and system analysis utilities.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to adapt, collaborate, and influence across teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex systems and provide actionable insights.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and experience with dynamic analysis tools is a plus.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud environments is desirable.
• Interest or experience in machine learning is an added advantage.
