About the NATS Program:

The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme stands out as a flagship initiative of the Government of India, designed to skill the country’s youth in various trade disciplines. Aligned with the provisions of the Apprentices Act of 1961 (amended in 1973), the Volvo Group extends a practical, hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT) program with a duration of one year. Participants in this program benefit from engagement with qualified training managers who facilitate knowledge transfer and mentorship. The curriculum encompasses the latest applications, processes, and methodologies within their respective fields, acting as a bridge for students transitioning from classrooms to professional settings. The training also covers soft skills, work culture, ethics, and organizational behavior, contributing to the enhancement and upgrading of professional skills. The one-year training period is open to recent graduates, providing a valuable opportunity to adapt from academic to professional work environments. Participants receive a stipend during the training period, although completion of the apprenticeship does not guarantee employment.
