Job Description
Wabtec Off Campus Hiring 2024 – Intern – Engineering
The intern will contribute to the development of products in the Digital Solutions sector, particularly in areas such as Ports and Rail. They will work as part of the engineering team, delivering functional components based on the requirements provided by product management. A basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is expected.
The role includes assisting in the development, troubleshooting, and deployment of software projects, with regular progress updates provided to key stakeholders.
Key Deliverables & Expectations
- Take responsibility for delivering specific modules, with guidance from an assigned mentor.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Develop code, and create unit and integration test cases.
- Work closely with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery of business functionality.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to presentations or proof of concepts.
- Be adaptable, a quick learner, and an excellent problem-solver.
Technical and Soft Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like AngularJS and JavaScript.
- A solid understanding of relational databases (RDBMS).
- Knowledge of cloud-related technologies, such as AWS, is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms is essential.
