Job Description
WEIR – Engineer Trainee
Position Title: Engineer Trainee
Division: Weir Minerals
Location: NCC, Bangalore
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Main Responsibilities
- Manage inquiries related to slurry pumps and mineral processing equipment.
- Focus on driving revenue growth while enhancing customer satisfaction and building Weir Minerals’ market share within the region.
- Prepare proposals and participate in techno-commercial discussions to support sales efforts.
- Handle customer account receivables effectively.
- Gather and analyze market data to support regional strategies.
Lean Initiatives
- Contribute to lean initiatives within the company and incorporate lean practices in daily activities.
Safety Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety protocols as outlined in the Weir Group’s SHE policy.
Key Performance Metrics
- Showcase strong sales skills and in-depth product knowledge.
- Meet monthly and yearly sales targets established by the company.
- Manage receivables as per company standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Mineral Processing Engineering.
Experience and Skills:
- Understanding of industrial pump applications.
- Sales and marketing capabilities, especially relevant to the served sectors.
Competencies:
- Essential: Integrity, teamwork, customer focus, and effective communication.
- Preferred: Advanced sales acumen and sector-specific knowledge.
