Job Description

Role Purpose

The role aims to prepare test cases and conduct testing for the product/platform/solution to be deployed at a client’s end, ensuring it meets 100% quality assurance parameters.

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Understand the test requirements and design test cases for the product.
2. Create test plans based on business requirements and corresponding testable requirements.
3. Implement Wipro’s testing methodologies, such as model-based testing, to generate efficient test cases.
4. Ensure that test cases undergo peer review and minimize rework.
5. Collaborate with the development team to identify and capture test cases, ensuring version control.
6. Set criteria, parameters, and the scope of testing, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
7. Automate the test life cycle process using VB macros, scheduling, GUI automation, etc.
8. Design and execute the automation framework, including reporting.
9. Develop and automate tests for software validation, including setting up test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing them.
10. Report test defects according to project/program/account norms with clear descriptions and replication patterns.
11. Identify and report bugs, prepare defect reports, and track test progress.
12. Ensure that work items are delivered without rejection or slippage, within Wipro/Customer SLAs and norms.
13. Design and release test status dashboards to stakeholders at the end of each test execution cycle.
14. Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace quality risks, and report them to the relevant stakeholders.
15. Provide ongoing status reporting to customers and maintain a customer-centric approach in all interactions, including email communication, fault report tracking, voice calls, and business etiquette.
16. Deliver work items, such as Weekly Status Reports (WSRs), test execution reports, and relevant dashboard updates, within specified timelines.
17. Update effort logs accurately in eCube, Test Management System (TMS), and other project-related trackers.
18. Respond promptly to customer requests and ensure there are no instances of complaints, both internal and external.
