Job Description
Responsibilities:
The role requires screening, reviewing, evaluating online entry, error correction and/or quality control review, and final adjudication of paper/electronic claims.
The job involves determining whether to return, deny, or pay claims following organizational policies and procedures.
This may include initial entry claims or claims that have been suspended.
The job also involves translating foreign language claims into English using appropriate software and coding, converting foreign currency to US dollars and coding charges appropriately.
The candidate is expected to review processed claims and inquiries to determine corrective action, which can include adjusting claims, and take the corrective action steps using enrollment, benefit, and historical claim processing information.
The candidate is also responsible for determining if claim information is complete and correct, entering/verifying claims data, resolving claim edits, reviewing history records, and determining benefit eligibility for service.
They must review payment levels to arrive at the final payment determination, meet all production and quality standards, and attend all required training classes.
If necessary, they must elevate issues to the next level of supervision.
The candidate must maintain accurate records, including timekeeping records, and perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Skills & Competencies Required:
• Should be flexible working for US shifts.
• Should have good typing skills (30-35 wpm).
• Should have good English communication skills (both oral and written).
• Knowledge in US Healthcare would be an added advantage.
• Should be open and flexible to align with business requirements as needed.
Education:
• Bachelor of Arts (B.A) – Any Specialization
• Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) – Any Specialization
• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
