Job Description
Bastian Solutions Off Campus Drive 2024 – Software Engineering – Intern
Responsibilities
- Programming in C++ and Python for robotic systems.
- Independently studying and understanding existing code projects written in C++.
- Adding new code modules and modifying existing code in C++ for robotic systems.
- Creating test cases for both existing and new robotic projects.
- Executing test cases on hardware running C++ and/or Python code.
- Basic hardware setup and troubleshooting, including connecting debuggers, cables, wires, and handling power supplies.
- Assisting team members with project testing, basic hardware setup, and remote debugging support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Demonstrable experience with robotics software and hardware, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and communication devices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to complete tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with simulation tools like Gazebo or Unity is advantageous.
- Prior experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work both as a team player and as a self-motivated contributor.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to project requirements.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to work 100% from office/factory during critical project testing phases.
