Job Overview
The Application Development Programmer Analyst role is a mid-level position focused on supporting the design, enhancement, and deployment of application systems in collaboration with the Technology team. The primary goal of this role is to contribute to system analysis, development, and programming efforts that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply application development principles and foundational knowledge of related technical domains to identify and define system improvement requirements
- Investigate system issues, evaluate possible solutions, and implement effective fixes
- Leverage understanding of business workflows, system architecture, and industry best practices to address complex technical challenges
- Analyze data and scenarios to form sound judgments and propose system enhancements
- Perform testing and debugging activities, use scripting tools, and develop basic code aligned with design specifications
- Draw upon prior experiences to evaluate alternatives in situations not fully addressed by standard procedures
- Build a practical understanding of organizational systems, development standards, client-server technologies, network and database operations, system administration, data center processes, and desktop applications
