Job Description
Position: Applications Development Programmer Analyst
The Applications Development Programmer Analyst assumes an intermediate role, responsible for contributing to the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. The primary aim of this role is to actively engage in application systems analysis and programming activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply expertise in applications development procedures and concepts, along with a fundamental understanding of other technical areas, to recognize and define essential system enhancements.
- Identify and scrutinize issues, provide recommendations, and execute solutions.
- Employ knowledge of business processes, system procedures, and industry benchmarks to address intricate problems.
- Assess information critically, offering recommendations for solutions and enhancements.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging, utilize scripting tools, and generate basic code based on design specifications.
- Evaluate the relevance of past experiences and explore options in scenarios not covered by standard procedures.
- Develop a proficient understanding of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
- Appropriately evaluate risks in business decision-making, giving due regard to the firm’s reputation, while ensuring the protection of Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This involves ensuring compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policies, applying ethical judgment in personal conduct and business practices, and transparently addressing, managing, and reporting control issues.
