The Summer Internship Program is a key initiative within the University Relations Program. IBM Research India offers internships to top students from premier technical universities across India. Interns collaborate on ongoing projects at the lab, solving complex problems with the guidance of their mentors. Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Python (including familiarity with pandas, NumPy)
  • Knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Background in linear algebra, probability, and statistics
  • Experience working with tools such as VS Code, Jupyter notebooks, and Git
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts (supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, regression, neural networks, clustering)
  • Data analysis and manipulation skills for large datasets
  • Familiarity with AI libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch, as well as working knowledge of deep learning, Foundation Models, and Large Language Models
  • Experience with AI platforms such as Watsonx.ai or similar alternatives
