Job Description

We are currently seeking a Junior Technical Landscape Owner to join our team responsible for managing one of our strategic customer accounts, specifically handling all SAP technology-related matters for this customer.

The Role: As a Junior Technical Landscape Owner, you will be the primary Single Point of Contact (SPOC) along with other Technical Landscape Owners (TLOs), taking end-to-end responsibility for all customer landscapes. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Head of Technical Service Management and your PLO colleagues to optimize processes (such as alert management and automation) and enhance the end-user experience, focusing on performance improvements.

Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Familiarity with operating systems, including Linux and Windows, as well as OS-level system administration concepts.
  2. Conceptual knowledge of Relational and In-Memory DBMS, with valuable hands-on experience in HANA and/or ASE being a significant advantage.
  3. SAP technology experience, preferably in an SAP support or consulting environment, would be beneficial.
  4. Understanding of technical planning, implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP solutions, such as installations, migrations, upgrades, and operations for large/complex environments.
  5. Experience with hyperscalers like Azure/AWS, virtualization technologies, and cloud storage systems would be useful.
  6. Good grasp of network concepts, including WAN technologies, DNS configuration, Firewall/Port configuration, NSGs, Routers, subnets, and their interplay.
  7. Some knowledge of network and virtual technologies, such as load balancers and virtual machines.
  8. A customer-centric mindset, with a focus on delivering the highest service quality standards, ensuring customer success, and achieving results.
  9. Ability to understand customer business drivers, translate them into technical requirements, and propose easily adoptable solutions that meet their needs.
  10. Strong team player skills, capable of collaborating effectively within international and virtual teams across locations such as Mexico, Brazil, India, South Africa, Europe, etc.
  11. Proven capacity to independently and proactively acquire new knowledge and skills.
  12. Strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking abilities.
  13. Identify key issues and contribute to defining and implementing action items.
  14. Support Engagement Lead and Project Lead in delivering customer services.
  15. Collaborate with various teams within the ECS organization and external parties to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction, including direct interaction with customers.
  16. Willingness to occasionally work on weekends or off-hours during critical customer escalations or go-lives, displaying flexibility.

Education and Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following educational requirements and possess the mentioned skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
  2. Knowledge of SAP Technologies and Products would be advantageous.
  3. Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills to effectively communicate and escalate issues.

Experience:

This role is ideally suited for university graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of work experience in an SAP technology-related field. A solid IT technology background (DB, OS, network) from your university education is expected. While this is not a development position, you should be capable of reading code, writing short scripts, and updating them. Prior SAP technology know-how would be beneficial, but we also provide on-the-job training to enhance your skills.

Language Skills:

You should have an advanced business level of English as most interactions with colleagues and customers will be in English.

Location:

The position is based in India, specifically in Bangalore or Pune.
