About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be an integral part of a team focused on provisioning and managing public Cloud Native platform infrastructure. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing actively to the team’s efforts in provisioning Cloud Native platform infrastructure on public cloud environments.
  • Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to deploy cloud resources via pipelines and automate the installation of applications.
  • Creating and operationalizing cloud patterns services, including the development of associated runbooks and documentation, to facilitate a self-serve model for various products.
  • Collaborating closely with the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and cloud architects to align with strategic goals and ensure adherence to established TR Technology standards across all cloud implementations.
  • Providing education and guidance to internal teams, helping them to design and implement effective Cloud Native solutions.
  • Continuously refining deployment methodologies and processes to efficiently deliver products across multiple environments.
  • Staying informed about the latest trends in cloud technologies, including open source solutions and offerings from cloud vendors like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Engaging deeply with technical teams across different geographical locations in an agile and dynamic environment.
  • Advocating for Cloud Native practices, challenging existing processes, and ensuring the organization leverages the full capabilities of the Cloud Platform.

About You

You’re well-suited for the Cloud Engineer role if your background includes:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in cloud engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python development.
  • Knowledge and experience in general IT and public cloud, including networking, infrastructure, security, storage, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, automation, and infrastructure as code, as well as automated application deployment.
  • Familiarity with core cloud services such as EC2, S3, Azure Virtual Machine, Azure Storage, ALB, Route53, Azure DNS, etc.
  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases like RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, PostgreSQL, and ElastiCache.
  • Understanding of AWS and/or Azure messaging/events, firewall, security, and identity/access services.
  • Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, and Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly with onsite and remote teams.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • A curiosity, passion, and drive to learn new technologies.
  • AWS and/or Azure certifications are preferred.
