Job Description
Role Purpose:
The Associate Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting scrum teams by contributing to the development and execution of test strategies for each release. This includes active participation in test design reviews, system test case evaluations, and various testing types such as usability, integrations, and functional testing. Additionally, the Associate Quality Engineer is involved in the development and execution of automation processes and collaborates with senior peers on projects. The role emphasizes the importance of learning through practical experience and contributes to the overall success of the quality engineering process.
Scope of Control: Nature of Task: The role requires basic technical skills with a moderate level of proficiency in Quality Engineering Testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Authoring:
- Assist in reviewing acceptance and regression tests.
- Ensure automation of integration and end-to-end scenarios.
- Develop automation flows and conduct review sessions for comprehensive coverage.
- Test Execution:
- Monitor testing execution to gather KPI metrics for continuous improvement.
- Test Documentation and Traceability:
- Assist in the development and documentation of the test strategy.
- Collaborate with engineers and product owners to identify test conditions and ensure adequate test case coverage.
- Issue Reporting:
- Monitor issues in the defect tracking system, providing valuable information for issue diagnosis and resolution.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Analyze and solve problems in consultation with senior peers.
- Provide regular updates on self-development and learning needs.
- Report daily progress to the scrum team lead.
- Proactively communicate with team members to resolve issues.
- Test Planning:
- Assist senior peers in developing test strategies and designs to address risks and impacts.
- Contribute to the review of planned automation activities.
