Job Description
Position Overview:
The IT Operations Team is an integral part of Wolters Kluwer Global Business Services (GBS), offering services to business units in technology, sourcing, procurement, legal, finance, and accounting, including the North American-Accounting Center. These global centers foster team collaboration through best practices, focusing on specific areas to drive results and improve operational efficiencies. The continuous effort is made to benchmark against industry standards, aiming to enhance deliverable quality, increase cost savings, improve productivity, and reduce time to market for products and applications.
We are seeking an IT Operations Analyst with the following technical skills:
- Knowledge of IAAS/PAAS on Windows Azure/AWS Cloud Platforms.
- Familiarity with Azure ILB/AppGateways/Traffic Managers.
- Proficiency in the installation/migration/upgradation of Windows/Linux servers.
- Troubleshooting expertise with Windows/Linux servers.
- Experience in supporting applications like Web Apps, Websites, and applications hosted on IIS.
- Hands-on experience in IIS administration.
- Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform.
- Understanding of application deployment tools and processes.
- Knowledge of incident and change management processes – ITIL is preferred.
- Good understanding of Networking tools and Network-related troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in storage and backup administration.
- Understanding and troubleshooting skills in Active Directory/GPO/DHCP/DNS.
- ITIL experience and familiarity with Release and Build deployment.
- Familiarity with various monitoring tools (e.g., Axonius, Zabbix, Opsramp, SCOM, F5, AppDynamics, PRTG, Pagerduty).
- Understanding of ticketing tools like Service Now and Jira.
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure/AWS.
- Experience in Application Operations, with preferred DevOps skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
IT Operations:
- Utilize appropriate tools for deploying and troubleshooting applications and deployments.
- Adhere to all processes defined by the Business to ensure expected outcomes.
- Manage application installation, upgrade, and maintenance.
- Effectively use IT infrastructure components, monitoring their performance, and troubleshooting to ensure 100% system availability.
- Provide feedback to development and QA teams to ensure adherence to the best application deployment and ITIL processes.
- Maintain technical documentation.
Relationships and Engagement:
- Implement team engagement and maintain good communication with the team and relevant stakeholders.
- Handle incidents, problems, and issues; manage resolutions, change management corrective actions, and lessons learned.
- Collect and disseminate relevant information.
- Utilize feedback from customers and stakeholders for effective work relationships.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field.
Experience:
- 0-3 years of IT experience.
- 0-3 years of experience managing Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- 0-3 years of experience managing systems in Azure, AWS.
- 0-3 years of experience working with ARM and/or CFT templates.
- 0-3 years of experience working with configuration management solutions (i.e., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- 0-3 years of experience in database support.
- Experience working in a student employment program or related experience.
- Interest in Information Technology and in Information Services and Software space.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:
- Experience in migrating services to Public Cloud (Azure/AWS).
