Xactly Off Campus Hiring – Associate QA Engineer

The Opportunity

As an Associate Quality Engineer at Xactly, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality throughout the testing lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include validating both existing and newly developed features, automating test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating on quality improvements. Comprehensive training will be provided on product functionality, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and supporting infrastructure to help you succeed within scrum teams. The QE team leverages advanced technologies such as Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, Maven, RestAssured, Nightwatch, VMWare, Jenkins, Docker, OpenNebula, and JMeter.

The Team

Xactly’s Quality Engineering group is expanding rapidly and is known for its strong focus on test automation and modern QA tools. The team currently includes 35+ professionals distributed across San Jose, Denver, and Bangalore. Each member operates with a high degree of ownership and accountability, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in agile scrum teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred)
• 0–2 years of experience in software testing or QA roles
• Strong understanding of test strategy, planning, and case design
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Programming knowledge in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java)
• Proficiency with SQL queries

Growth Roadmap

Within 1 Month:

• Complete onboarding and new hire training
• Understand development and QE workflows
• Get familiar with QE tools and technologies
• Join scrum ceremonies and team discussions

Within 3 Months:

• Gain in-depth knowledge of Xactly’s SaaS products and features
• Learn automation frameworks and integrate them into testing activities
• Actively contribute to test planning and automation within scrum teams

Within 6 Months:

• Implement and uphold QA best practices
• Ensure high-quality releases and minimize production issues
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for any production escapes and propose solutions

Within 12 Months:

• Become a subject matter expert on the modules you test
• Take full ownership of features, including quality and release readiness
• Collaborate on sprint planning and feature design to improve processes and reduce defects
