Description – EATON Offcampus drive 2024 – Associate Engineer- Ecodesign

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of experience in Sustainability, Product Development, or Technology Development within Industrial, Electrical/Electronic, or Chemical domains.

Skills:

1. Proficient in fundamental engineering principles.
2. Familiarity with eco-design regulations.
3. Knowledgeable about Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) standards, including ISO 14040/44/25.
4. Experience in conducting LCAs following specific rules such as ISO 14040/44/25; familiarity with conducting LCAs according to PEP-EcoPassport Product Category Rules/Product Specific Rules is a plus.
   • Proficient in LCA modeling software like EIME (preferably), SimaPro, Sphera/GaBi, OpenLCA, or similar.
   • Understanding of goal and scope definition and Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data requirements.
   • Ability to analyze LCA results, identify hotspots, and provide interpretation.
   • Effective communication of LCA impacts to both internal and external stakeholders.
5. Basic understanding of regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Prop65, and their implications on products and technologies is advantageous.
6. Proficient in handling data and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts effectively.
8. Demonstrates good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills.
