Job Description

We are seeking a Java developer to implement and enhance functionalities within the GRADE application, as well as resolve any existing issues with the product. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to comprehend project requirements, propose design solutions, and execute the required functionalities. Furthermore, they should be proficient in working with both new and existing codebases, particularly in the areas of data modeling, workflows, and rules. Familiarity with various leasing and lending concepts, practices, and procedures is highly advantageous. The role will require the candidate to draw upon their extensive experience and judgment to effectively plan and achieve project objectives. The key responsibilities include:

  1. Effective Communication: Collaborate with Business Analysts to analyze project requirements and ensure a clear understanding.
  2. Business Requirement Modeling: Synthesize and model business requirements, integrating them with both existing and new application functionalities to accommodate evolving business needs.
  3. Enhancement of GRADE Model: Develop enhancements for the existing GRADE model, rules, and workflows, while also integrating new modules.
  4. Team Collaboration: Facilitate meetings with other members of the engineering teams to ensure smooth project coordination.
  5. Sales Support: Develop and provide support to the Sales Team, including product demonstrations when required.
  6. Infrastructure Support: Assist the infrastructure team in enhancing the core infrastructure.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • A B.Tech/MCA degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong Java design and development skills.
  • Proficiency in PostGres/SQL.
  • Working knowledge of Hibernate (or JPA2) ORM.
  • Familiarity with the Spring Framework.
  • Proficiency in XML and Webservices.
  • Experience with any MVC framework (JSF preferred).
  • Strong skills in HTML/JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Tomcat/Jboss AS 7 (or similar J2EE App server).
  • Proficiency in using the Eclipse IDE.
  • Experience with Maven builds.
  • Relevant years of experience in Software Development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with workflows, especially BPMN and JBPM5.
  • Familiarity with the Drools Rules Management System.
  • Experience with Java Server Faces.
  • Proficiency in any templating library (preferably Mvel).
  • A good understanding of Cloud technologies and AWS.
  • Experience with RESTful service architecture.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Experience in SCRUM or other Agile methodologies.
