Job Description
Team Overview:
The Quality Assurance (QA) team is responsible for conducting manual testing across various products and services within the Amazon ecosystem. Our mission is to support Amazon in its commitment to customer-centricity by delivering rapid, reliable, and high-quality manual testing services and solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute test plans, test cases, and create test data, ensuring timely, clear, and concise reporting of results.
- Demonstrate understanding of project/product functionality and adaptability to evolving requirements and documentation.
- Proactively identify gaps in test cases and explore beyond them to uncover issues/bugs.
- Implement processes to comprehensively test product changes.
- Maintain agility and responsiveness to changing project priorities, swiftly adjusting testing strategies as needed.
- Conduct root cause analysis of bugs/issues when necessary.
Roles and Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Adhering to predefined standard operating procedures (SOPs), test methods, and processes.
- Executing test cases for small, straightforward components and/or features related to apps, services, or devices to verify proper functionality. Meeting daily productivity and quality targets.
- Logging bugs/failures encountered during test execution and ensuring their resolution within service level agreements (SLAs).
- Contributing ideas for project improvements to streamline daily operations.
- Influencing the quality of assigned components and features.
- Acquiring knowledge through peer collaboration, on-the-job training, and resources provided by the Device and Quality team (e.g., SharePoint, Wiki, etc.).
Basic Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: BE, BTech, MCA, BSc in Computers, BCA, MSc in IT.
- Work Experience: Little to no previous experience required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and testing proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Proficiency in using Windows desktop environment and software such as Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.
- Flexibility and willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
- Demonstrated ownership, drive, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines.
