Job Description
Calix – Graduate Trainee
Position Overview:
In this position, you’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on strengthening and advancing our internal test automation tools. Your contributions will support greater efficiency and broader testing capabilities throughout our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in cloud technologies to develop, perform unit testing, and execute integration tests for various functionalities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Enhance existing automation frameworks with new features and improvements.
- Engage in engineering discussions across all stages of the software development lifecycle—including requirement analysis, design documentation, peer code reviews, test planning, and QA support.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or C.
- Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Comfortable working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong grasp of unit testing fundamentals.
- Solid foundation in programming principles, data structures, and object-oriented design.
- Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Confident and professional phone communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree (expected graduation in 2024 or 2025) in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or related disciplines.
Work Location:
India – Flexible hybrid arrangement (expected to be present at the Bangalore office for approximately 20 days per quarter).
