Job Description
Calix – Graduate Trainee
Role Overview:
As part of this position, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team to enhance and scale the in-house test automation framework. Your contributions will play a crucial role in increasing productivity and improving test coverage throughout the cloud operations division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) in cloud technologies to develop and test new functionalities, including unit and integration testing.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Implement new features and improvements in existing test frameworks.
- Engage in technical discussions throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including reviewing requirements, drafting design documents, conducting peer reviews, and supporting the QA team with test planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C.
- Experience or familiarity with databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Comfortable working with both Linux and Windows environments.
- Basic understanding of unit testing methodologies.
- Solid grasp of programming principles, data structures, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a confident phone presence.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or Electronics & Telecommunications. Candidates expected to graduate in 2024 or 2025 are eligible.
Location: India (Hybrid model — expected to work from the Bangalore office for 20 days per quarter)
