Job Role & Responsibilities
- The job responsibilities of a software engineer include:
- Designing, coding, and configuring solutions for moderate complexity Agile stories with guidance from a senior software engineer.
- Debugging and resolving moderate complexity software bugs or issues independently and finding the real root cause to provide a fix without any collateral damage.
- Writing automated unit and integration-level tests under their own direction.
- Creating or supporting the creation of a conceptual design or architecture for small-scale software solutions with guidance from an architect or senior developer.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to junior software engineers, as needed.
- Following development standards and effectively demonstrating technical solutions to other software engineers in code reviews.
- Assisting in making source code management decisions for one or more teams.
- Performing source code management tasks without specific guidance from other team members.
- Performing other related duties and activities as required.
