Job Description


Job Summary:

The Associate Analyst within the RMS team is responsible for developing expertise in RMS/independence issues and serving as the primary contact for customer teams. This role involves interpreting RMS policies, determining necessary actions, and providing recommendations based on firm guidelines. Additionally, the Associate Analyst is tasked with analyzing issues and creating deliverables to document the thoroughness of their work, as their outputs are subject to review by external regulators. Interactions typically occur at the executive level with client team members and RMS personnel.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates and oversees the completion process by following up on requests from RMS Consultants and assisting client teams.
  • Understands the key requirements of firm and regulatory RMS rules and policies.
  • Conducts initial reviews of submissions from client teams, assessing completeness, accuracy, and suitability of proposed transactions/requests.
  • Acts as a liaison between client teams, other members of the RMS team, and various functional areas within the firm.
  • Formulates responses to client inquiries.
  • Manages tasks and activities efficiently and is accountable for specific outcomes.
  • Utilizes analytical and project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarizes themselves with the firm’s structure, business strategies, service lines, and personnel.
  • Establishes a network of contacts within RMS and across the firm.
  • Plans and organizes their own work and keeps others informed of progress and activities.
  • Demonstrates judgment in initial consultations and/or submission reviews, quickly grasping the key requirements of firm and regulatory RMS rules and policies.
  • Relies on existing policies but also conducts research and proposes solutions to unique situations through tailored inquiries.
  • Provides feedback to support ongoing process improvements.
