Job Description
Job Opening: Electrical Engineer
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Comprehend the design process for new products and/or support the maintenance of Analog, RF, and/or Digital electrical circuit boards, components, and interconnects.
- Lead design efforts using Electrical CAD and Simulation tools.
- Execute designs adhering to engineering standards.
- Collaborate within a team to deliver technical solutions.
- Define and conduct component design verification.
- Engage in all stages of product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction, and service support.
- Develop and manage the product quality and engineering project funnel.
- Analyze installed base and new product reliability and usability.
- Investigate complaints/nonconformance on post-market Installed Base.
- Work on change requests, disposition, supplier notification, and change initiation and execution through the Design Change process.
- Determine criteria for supplier part selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during Design Transfer and Design Change to determine if a Supplier Part Quality Plan is required.
- Establish product specifications and acceptance criteria for supplier products.
- Qualify verification and validation activities.
- Address fulfillment issues by adding alternate suppliers, ensuring equivalence in form, fit, and function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Technical/Engineering review boards for thorough impact assessments and drive recommended actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers for supplier resilience projects like fulfillment risks, quality issues, design changes, obsolescence issues, LTB.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BE/BTech).
- Extensive experience in hardware design development, including analog/mixed-signal circuits, microcontrollers, FPGA design, power circuits, and a solid understanding of LCD, thermal printers, DC drive motors, etc.
- Understanding of component selection per specification and familiarity with the design change process, including schematic + PWA layout, BOM/BOS, verification/testing, design reviews, and documentation.
- Knowledge in EMI/EMC (CE certification) testing and design considerations.
- Experience with HC (Healthcare) projects is desirable.
