Job Description
Google is seeking candidates for the position of Application Engineer.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy applications, integrations, and web services aimed at challenging and transforming the fundamental principles of IT operations.
- Integrate third-party products into internal systems, and provide support and enhancements to existing systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and execute solutions that enhance internal business processes.
- Construct in-house solutions with customized front-end interfaces (e.g., web and mobile) and back-end services designed to automate business workflows.
- Adhere to the highest standards of development practices, which encompass technical design, solution development, system configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification, and resolution, while producing clean, modular, and self-sustaining code.
Candidate Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrate expertise in programming using Java/J2EE and Web Services (e.g., RESTful/SOAP).
- Display proficiency in implementing, configuring, customizing, and integrating third-party software solutions.
