Job Description
“NCR Corporation is currently seeking interns for the position of Production Support Trainee.
Responsibilities of the Intern:
- Oversee the performance and availability of our systems, actively identify and resolve any issues that could affect reliability or the user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, which include platform engineers and development teams, to establish and maintain scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions.
- Create and maintain automation tools and processes to streamline operational tasks and enhance efficiency.
- Perform regular system audits to pinpoint potential vulnerabilities and implement the necessary security measures.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, recognizing areas for improvement and applying the necessary enhancements.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for enhancing our infrastructure and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in system administration, network operations, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation, utilizing languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- A strong grasp of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).”
