Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to design, test, and maintain software programs intended for deployment at a client’s site, ensuring they meet 100% quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Understanding product/software requirements and design.
  2. Developing software solutions through the analysis of information needs, system flow, data usage, and work processes.
  3. Investigating problem areas throughout the software development life cycle.
  4. Facilitating root cause analysis of system issues and problem statements.
  5. Identifying methods to enhance system performance and availability.
  6. Analyzing client requirements and converting them into feasible design.
  7. Collaborating with functional teams and systems analysts to investigate software requirements.
  8. Consulting project managers to gather information on software capabilities.
  9. Writing code and ensuring optimal software/module development.
  10. Evaluating operational feasibility through the analysis of problems, requirements, and proposed software.
  11. Developing and automating processes for software validation by creating test cases, scenarios, and executing them.
  12. Modifying software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
  13. Analyzing information to recommend system installations or modifications.
  14. Ensuring that the code is free of errors and does not result in test failures.
  15. Preparing reports detailing programming project specifications, activities, and status.
  16. Ensuring that all code adheres to project/program/account-defined norms with clear descriptions and replication patterns.
  17. Compiling comprehensive and accurate documentation and reports as required.
  18. Coordinating with the team to document daily project status and progress.
  19. Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, identifying quality risks, and reporting them to relevant stakeholders.
  20. Regularly reporting project status and maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  21. Capturing and clarifying client requirements for high-quality work.
  22. Seeking feedback regularly to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
  23. Participating in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices, learn new programming languages, and assist team members effectively.
  24. Consulting with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces, develop specifications, and outline performance requirements.
  25. Documenting and demonstrating solutions through the development of documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  26. Documenting essential details and reports in a formal manner to ensure a clear understanding of the software from client proposal to implementation.
  27. Maintaining a high level of professionalism in interactions with customers, including email communication, fault report tracking, voice calls, and overall business etiquette.
  28. Ensuring timely responses to customer requests and striving for a complaint-free environment, both internally and externally.
