Job Description

What you’ll be responsible for:

  1. Being an exceptional designer – demonstrating innovation, speed, creativity, effective communication, and the ability to contribute meaningfully in meetings.
  2. Participating in a User Experience Design Project for a six-month duration.
  3. Conducting insights gathering, empathy mapping, and user journey mapping.
  4. Collaborating with user researchers, engineers, product managers, and visual designers to create the best possible designs.
  5. Actively contributing to the development of design assets through visual, verbal, and written means.
  6. Constructing user journey maps and information architecture for applications.

During your internship, you will engage in a practical application of the end-to-end design process, gain a global perspective, and actively contribute in the following areas:

  1. Conducting Market Research to understand the application markets.
  2. Undertaking ethnography studies with end users.
  3. Employing the Contextual Inquiry process to gather valuable user insights.
  4. Collaborating with team members from UX and engineering for brainstorming and conceptualization.
  5. Creating prototypes, including low, medium, and high fidelity mockups.
  6. Writing product definition documentation.
  7. Reviewing designs and preparing compelling reports.

What we require:

  1. Current enrollment in a Master’s in Design program at a renowned institution (e.g., IIT/NID).
  2. Proficiency in conceptual design, prototyping, tactical UI design, and familiarity with the software development process.
  3. A design portfolio showcasing user experience projects in one or more areas, such as Desktop, Mobile, and Web Applications (Windows, Android, MacOS, iOS).
  4. Experience in crafting sketches, mind maps, and storyboards for brainstorming.
  5. Understanding of user issues, insights, and comprehensive documentation.
  6. Utilization of metrics and user research data to inform design decisions.
  7. Ability to align design work with business objectives.
  8. Proficiency in at least one prototyping tool, such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  9. Competence in desktop and cloud documentation tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and SharePoint.

Ways to distinguish yourself:

  1. Proficiency in sketching for quick UX prototypes.
  2. Advanced skills in prototyping tools, such as HTML5, Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Suite.
  3. Demonstration of expertise in user experience animation.
  4. Experience in conducting Heuristics Research.
  5. Previous involvement in user research following industry-standard methods.

Preferred internship duration: 6 months
