Job Summary

In order to support our exceptional teams involved in product development and contributing to our company’s growth, we are seeking to hire an Analyst – GBS Planning in Chennai, India.

We require a professional who can efficiently and accurately handle planning orders within a fast-paced work environment. This individual should possess exceptional stakeholder service skills and collaborate effectively within a team to consistently meet challenging performance targets.

A typical workday entails the following responsibilities:

  • Providing expertise and support to the Customer Focus Team (CFT) to ensure effective materials planning for specific projects, facilitating materials support for weekly production planned orders, and meeting Kit delivery schedules in a timely manner to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Key assignments include providing timely materials status updates through the use of available Shortage reports, submitting excess and obsolete inventory reports to the Customer, managing work orders, overseeing inventory, and managing MRB and DR (Material Review Board and Discrepant Material Report) processes to achieve operational objectives.
  • Collaborating with Senior Materials Planners for New Emerging NPI Accounts to enhance service levels for NPI (New Product Introduction) Customers and effectively communicate with customers to protect Flex’s business interests.
  • Working on customer forecasts and shipments using the waterfall method.
  • Analyzing material and capacity availability based on customer demand and developing an ambitious yet attainable loading schedule.
  • Running weekly system reports to identify material shortages and collaborating with the buying team to resolve them.
  • Managing work order processes based on the build plan and implementing various inventory management measures.

The qualifications we are seeking to add to our team include:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Com / B.B.A / B.Sc OR Diploma)
  • 0 – 1 years of experience in Planning/Supply Chain Purchasing, with Planning and Supply Chain knowledge/experience (although not mandatory).
  • Mandatory knowledge of computer software applications, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of planning tools like Kinaxis will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in ERP/P2P systems, BAAN/SAP/Oracle, with Kinaxis knowledge being an additional asset.
  • Knowledge of Engineering BOMs, product structures, End of Life (EOL), and Engineering Change Order (ECO) Management.
  • Process knowledge covering the complete planning cycle, including MPS (Master Production Schedule), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Demand Planning, Materials Planning, and Production Planning.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, which are vital for success in this role.
