Job Description
Harness Hiring – Software Engineer
Position Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as an engineer in a rapidly growing startup. You will contribute to the Cloud Cost Management product, playing a key role in architecting, designing, and delivering high-quality software that enhances the overall product experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain essential software components in a fast-paced environment focused on quality.
- Prepare functional specifications and detailed design documentation.
- Analyze and understand complex codebases and take ownership of critical system components, ensuring quality delivery.
- Develop scalable algorithms and distributed solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate issues within distributed systems.
- Conduct peer reviews for specifications, designs, and code.
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize production performance.
- Work primarily with Java, Golang, and Python, leveraging technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, and GCP services such as Stackdriver, GCS, Cloud Composer, and AI Platform.
About You
- Passionate about building products that address complex technical challenges.
- 0–2 years of experience developing scalable, distributed applications or services in Java or related languages.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Skilled in debugging and analyzing software issues.
- Comfortable working in agile, iterative development cycles.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a focus on delivering high-quality work.
- Hold a B.Tech degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
