Job Role

The position involves several responsibilities, including the development of test programs and debugging of system-on-chip (SoC) controllers for hard disk drives (HDD) and/or solid-state drives (SSD).

The job also requires the collection of data, analysis, and generation of characterization reports for all products.

In addition, the role entails designing reliability hardware while collaborating closely with the technical engineering team.

Deploying products in High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) at OSAT locations and working with offshore product engineers for the release and management of Automated Test Experiments (ATE) test programs at production test facilities are also part of the job.

The position requires the analysis of high volume test data using data analysis tools and working closely with test development engineers to improve production yield, test-related issues, and cycle times improvements.

Education & Skills Required

The ideal candidate should have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or an MS in Electrical Engineering.

Strong English written and oral communication skills are required, as well as the flexibility to attend meetings with a global team located in different time zones (Taiwan, India, and the USA).

Basic knowledge of Semiconductor Design for Test (DFT) techniques, such as ATPG, MBIST, and loop-back testing of high-performance SerDes is expected. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have programming skills in languages like C, C++, and shell scripts such as PERL, AWK, and Python.

Exposure or experience in the Semiconductor industry is also required. Knowledge or experience in Statistical Data Processing, DOEs (Design of experiments), problem-solving methodologies, decision-making skills, cost reduction, and yield enhancement would be a plus.

Exposure to Automate Test Equipment (ATE) such as the Verigy 93000 Digital test platform would be advantageous.
