The Opportunity
ColdFusion offers a user-friendly programming environment that allows for the rapid development of powerful server-side web and mobile applications. Compared to other technologies like Java, ASP, and PHP, ColdFusion requires less code, enabling developers to create applications quickly. It provides an API Management Platform to facilitate the development and deployment of APIs, a Performance Monitoring Toolset for tracking server performance, and a high-speed, VS Code-based editor for efficient application coding.
The ColdFusion team in the Bangalore office is currently looking for a white-box QE engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience in Java and ColdFusion. The selected candidate will assist in certifying the groundbreaking features that contribute to ColdFusion’s status as a leading product.
What You’ll Do
Your primary responsibility will be coding for testing purposes. Collaborate with a team of passionate ColdFusion engineers to research and propose innovative features that advance the ColdFusion language and platform. Assist in certifying new state-of-the-art ColdFusion features during the development process. Create and execute test plans with efficiency. Design and implement automation systems and workflows. Engage with the enthusiastic ColdFusion community to address user inquiries. Contribute thought leadership to all aspects of the role, including product features and process improvements.
What You Need to Succeed
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Advanced coding skills in Java and ColdFusion. Strong abilities in programming, problem-solving, and troubleshooting. Experience working with application servers (such as Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere), web servers (such as IIS, Apache), and databases (such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL). Familiarity with both Windows and non-Windows platforms (e.g., Linux, Solaris, Mac). Thorough understanding of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium). High motivation and the ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
