Position: Underwriting New Associate

Location: Chennai

Experience: 0 to 1 years

Responsibilities: As an Underwriting New Associate, you will be part of the Financial Services, banking, Insurance, and Capital Market vertical. This involves assisting clients with tax preparations, insurance coverage, and investment portfolios. You will specifically contribute to the Lending Operations team, responsible for creating retail credit proposals, conducting pre-analysis, performing duplicate checks, data entry, customer point verifications (CPV), and reviewing income documents. Your work aligns with client credit policy, procedures, and turnaround times. The focus of the Underwriting team is on securing investment capital from investors on behalf of corporations and governments issuing equity or debt securities. The role necessitates a strong grasp of credit analysis, creditworthiness, credit underwriting, credit appraisal memo, commercial lending, financial analysis, asset evaluation, and income calculation. Additionally, expertise in residential underwriting, mortgage underwriting, government-sponsored loans, and pre-purchase review may be required.
