Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer!
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting systemic and infrastructure issues.
- Addressing production software problems and implementing solutions.
- Developing monitoring solutions.
- Conducting software maintenance and configuration.
- Implementing fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, Java).
- Executing SQL queries.
- Updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges.
- Collaborating with development teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects.
- Enhancing current software and automating support processes.
- Documenting system configurations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as C, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language, including C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with automation tools for building, testing, releasing, or monitoring.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in using the Python scripting language.
- Experience with highly concurrent, high-throughput systems.
- Understanding of complex distributed systems.
