Job Description

Amazon is currently seeking candidates for the position of Applied Scientist Intern.

Intern Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement cutting-edge algorithms in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision, utilizing extensive datasets to address real-world challenges.
2. Analyze data to derive meaningful insights for solving intricate business issues.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, refine, and deploy machine learning solutions.
4. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Requirements:

1. Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, with a specialization in machine learning, NLP, ASR, deep learning, computer vision, data science, or a related discipline.
2. Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python (including SciPy, RPy2, etc.).
3. Demonstrated practical experience in machine learning.
4. Preferred: Research background in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, or data science.
5. Preferred: Publication and/or presentation of papers at renowned conferences such as ICASSP, ICML, NIPS, KDD, CVPR, or similar top-tier events.
