Job Description
Apple is currently seeking candidates for the position of System Integration Engineer.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, address challenges, and collaborate with teams of developers and test engineers across the organization.
- Participate in all stages of the cellular integration process, contributing significantly to the experience of millions of customers.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for Performance, automation, and Software, coupled with practical hands-on automation skills.
Candidate Requirements:
- Leadership experience, having led small teams of engineers as a tech lead or manager.
- Extensive expertise in cellular baseband development and testing.
- Proficient in establishing and managing test systems for comprehensive testing of end-to-end cellular functionality, encompassing 2G/3G/4G/5G.
- Experience in debugging live 4G/5G networks and Simulator failures.
- Proven track record of driving defects analysis and identifying root causes in collaboration with project teams.
- Demonstrated understanding of how cellular networks operate and interact with networks, including knowledge of Phy, protocol network layers, bands, etc.
- Strong scripting skills (preferably Python, Perl) and debugging proficiency.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git, code review systems like Gerrit, and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
- Proficient in setting up Mac-based hosts and installing automation tools to create effective test setups.
- Expertise in cellular system test automation execution and the ability to isolate issues, both software and hardware-related.
- Familiarity with operating various test equipment, including CMW500, Anritsu, and Keysight.
- Strong teamwork, diligence, and effective communication skills.
