Job Description
Motorola Solutions is currently seeking candidates for the Software Engineer position!
Responsibilities:
- Provide round-the-clock on-call support to meet critical customer service agreements.
- Troubleshoot complex cross-platform issues involving operating systems, networking, and databases within a cloud-based SaaS environment. Handle live production incidents, debug application and infrastructure issues.
- Address ‘Push-To-Talk’ solution issues by participating in live troubleshooting calls with customers, capturing application logs and network data, and escalating issues to senior engineers when necessary.
- Deploy the ‘Push-To-Talk’ application and configure networks for server communication.
- Monitor network and application performance, ensuring service integrity.
- Develop tools and web services to parse application logs, system health data, and network captures, facilitating faster debugging and reducing issue resolution time.
- Create automated monitoring tools to assess and monitor Key Performance Indicators of the ‘Push-To-Talk’ solution, providing simplified interfaces for solution health assessment.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix Administration and Shell Scripting.
- Experience in debugging web-based applications.
- Familiarity with Docker and basic knowledge of Azure (Understanding of Virtualized Environments).
- Basic understanding of AWS Cloud Watch.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to handle customer calls.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of databases.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
