Job Description – Cloud Intern – 2024 (3 months FTC)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Expected graduation in 2023 or 2024
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with OS concepts, including Linux/Unix Systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris, etc.)
- Experience in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP
- Basic understanding of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS) and Database systems
- Exposure to Cloud computing
Internship Duration: 6 Months
What you’ll be doing:
- Learning, supporting, and utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Azure, GCP, and AWS
- Applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to deliver tailored solutions to customers’ specific needs
- Documenting critical and highly complex problems
- Providing feedback to internal teams based on your day-to-day customer interactions to enhance our services
- Collaborating with technical teams to draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Standard Maintenance Task Descriptions (SMTD), and Knowledge Base (KB) articles for technical support purposes
Areas of Support:
- Cloud computing platforms: Azure, GCP, and AWS
- Networking protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, VLAN, etc.)
- Operating Systems (Linux and/or Windows Servers)
- Virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Security principles
