Job Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role involve designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using various testing tools.
It also includes identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs using relevant tools.
Additionally, the position requires working closely with internal teams, such as developers and product managers, to identify system requirements.
The role also involves monitoring the debugging process results to ensure optimal functionality.
Duties
As a part of the job duties, the individual is required to review the technical design documents, requirements, and specifications and provide feedback in a timely and meaningful manner.
The individual should create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure proper testing of the product.
Additionally, the individual should design, develop, and execute automation scripts using testing tools and identify, document, and track bugs using respective tools.
The individual is also responsible for performing regression testing when bugs are resolved and working closely with internal teams such as developers and product managers to identify system requirements.
Furthermore, the individual should monitor the debugging process results and track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defects. Lastly, the individual should be familiar with testing tools and methodologies to ensure efficient testing of the product.
Skills Required
The required skillset for the position includes a demonstrated track record of software development work experience and proficiency in software quality assurance.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as the ability to write detailed test plans and cases that are both clear and concise.
They should also have practical experience in both white-box and black-box testing and be proficient in automated testing tools.
A solid knowledge of SQL, Python, and Selenium is required, and previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is highly preferred.
