GenC – Role Overview

  • Analyze business needs, seek clarifications where required, and prepare relevant documentation.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy applications in line with defined specifications.
  • Interpret data requirements and create appropriate test cases and scenarios.
  • Work within an Agile development framework, adhering to SDLC processes and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare low-level design (LLD) documents for assigned components.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage tasks effectively to meet project deadlines, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Take complete ownership of assigned deliverables and ensure timely, efficient execution.
  • Actively participate in project discussions, reviews, and technical meetings to contribute to high-quality, cost-efficient solutions.
  • Continuously enhance technical skills and adapt to emerging tools and technologies.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members in a dynamic work environment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates from the 2024 and 2025 graduating batches of B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech are eligible to apply.
    (Streams such as Leather Technology, Food Technology, Fashion Technology, etc., are excluded.)
  • A consistent academic record with a minimum of 60% in X, XII, Diploma, UG, and PG is mandatory (rounding off to 60% is not permitted).
  • At the time of joining, candidates must maintain at least 60% aggregate in the degree currently being pursued, with no active arrears.
  • CGPA-to-percentage conversion will be considered strictly as per university guidelines.
  • Candidates with existing arrears are not eligible.
  • Willingness to work from any Cognizant office location, across assigned shifts and technologies, is required.
  • Open to Indian nationals and OCI candidates currently residing in India.
  • All hiring-related communication will be sent only to the personal email ID registered in Superset, which must remain unchanged throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Mandatory Documents for Registration

  • Updated resume with a recent passport-size photograph.
  • Industry-recognized certification (if available) to be uploaded mandatorily.

Mandatory Documents for Interview

  • Complete academic records, including school, college, UG, and PG mark sheets.
  • Provisional or degree certificate (as applicable).
  • College ID card (if available).

Mandatory Documents for Onboarding

  • PAN Card (mandatory): Ensure that the name, father’s name, and other details are accurate and match the registered details, as discrepancies may lead to background verification failure.
  • Voter ID or Passport for citizenship verification.
