Job Description – Roles and Responsibilities
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic intern with foundational knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Transformers, Generative AI, or Agent-based AI to support our MICT team at GE Healthcare.
In this role, you will work on building and deploying an AI solution capable of examining closed service logs across diverse product configurations within the Installed Base. Your responsibilities include extracting essential insights such as common failure points, resolutions, and key identifiers, helping to visualize trends and contributing factors for in-depth root cause analysis.
You will focus on achieving reliable and accurate model performance through self-validation techniques that reduce hallucinations and limit manual verification, even when handling high-volume datasets. The position involves developing strong data processing workflows to clean, normalize, and structure records effectively.
Additionally, you will assess and optimize LLMs (e.g., GPT-4o or similar) for RCA-focused use cases and help design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) components that utilize historical data and technical documents to enhance model outputs. Collaboration with technical experts will be key to refining solutions and incorporating continuous improvements.
Where pre-trained models are insufficient, you may explore training strategies or agent-based enhancements. The role also includes working with cloud platforms like AWS and using Python for end-to-end model implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a postgraduate degree (M.Tech/ME) in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Understanding of large-scale AI technologies including generative systems, advanced language/vision models, and agentic model architecture
- Strong skills in Python and C++, along with familiarity with popular AI/ML libraries and frameworks
- Experience or awareness of prompt engineering, vector database usage, and RAG-based system design
- Awareness of medical equipment, service data, and root-cause analysis methodologies is an advantage
- Ability to manage and analyze extensive datasets and develop scalable AI modules
- Knowledge of cloud-based deployment and tools
- Prior hands-on AI project experience preferred; quick learning and adaptability are essential
