Fluence Off Campus Hiring 2024 – Junior Software Engineer, API development
About the Role:
This position is part of Fluence’s software engineering team, specifically focused on the Nispera Asset Performance Management (APM) platform. Based at the Fluence Center of Excellence in Bangalore, the role involves collaborating with the Nispera software engineering teams across India and Europe. As a Junior API Developer for web applications, you will work alongside experienced engineers, helping to develop interfaces that connect front-end and back-end systems. Your main tasks will include implementing, documenting, and maintaining containerized REST API applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline
- At least one year of experience in API development
- Strong skills in Node.js
- Familiarity with relational databases and Linux environments
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Understanding of the energy sector
- Practical experience with other programming languages and frameworks (such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Nest.js)
- Experience in agile product and service delivery
