Job Description

About the Role:

As a Digital Engineer, you’ll play a key role in creating innovative Texas Instruments (TI) products, turning customer ideas into tangible solutions. Your work will involve designing, modeling, validating, and testing digital circuits to ensure they meet stringent criteria related to performance, power efficiency, cost, and delivery timelines. You’ll contribute to groundbreaking projects like developing the industry’s first 64-bit DSP processor, memory management units (MMUs), and advanced heterogeneous multicore systems that integrate both TI DSP and ARM cores with shared memory and cache coherency. You’ll also work on CPU simulation tools, vector processor ISA architectures, and other cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business teams to define design specifications that balance technical and commercial goals
  • Analyze chip architecture options and provide recommendations to meet targets within cost constraints
  • Take part in design reviews and produce relevant technical documentation
  • Design, verify, and validate novel IP blocks to strengthen TI’s product differentiation
  • Optimize design layouts to achieve superior performance, energy efficiency, and compact form factor
  • Validate real-world use cases and develop prototype systems to enhance customer engagement
  • Perform device characterization and qualification to ensure compliance with functional, electrical, and reliability standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a closely related engineering field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale
