TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT) is an integrated assessment for freshers, covering Prime, Digital, and Ninja hiring opportunities. Candidates participate in a single test, and their performance determines their eligibility for interviews in the respective hiring categories.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
The TCS NQT is open to students pursuing the following degrees from AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions:
- Undergraduate: B.Tech./B.E.
- Postgraduate: M.Tech./M.E./M.C.A./M.Sc./M.S. (any specialization)
Academic Performance:
- A minimum of 60% aggregate or a 6.0 CGPA across all academic qualifications, including the latest semester results.
- If selected, candidates must provide a degree/provisional certificate stating “First Class” at the time of joining.
Backlogs & Education Gaps:
- No active or pending backlogs at the time of the selection process or joining.
- Backlogs must be cleared within the university’s prescribed course duration.
- Maximum academic gap allowed: 24 months (valid documents required).
Mode of Education:
- Only full-time courses are considered (part-time or correspondence courses are ineligible).
- Candidates who completed Secondary/Senior Secondary via NIOS are eligible if their graduation/post-graduation was pursued full-time.
Work Experience:
- Up to 2 years of work experience is acceptable (for postgraduate applicants).
Age Criteria:
- Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years old.

- The TCS NQT consists of two sections: Foundation and Advanced.
