Job Description
GE Aerospace Off Campus Hiring 2025 – Intern
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop user-friendly tools to create, run, and visualize NDE workflows and logic diagrams
- Convert NDE standards and procedures into executable rules, validation checks, and decision models
- Process and interpret inputs from textual sources and CAD models, linking geometric data to inspection logic
- Develop data handling utilities, including basic signal and image preparation, to enable decision-making workflows
- Build interactive dashboards that display inputs, logic paths, and resulting recommendations
- Produce well-structured, documented code with unit tests and continuous integration, while managing versioned logic repositories
- Work closely with NDE and engineering subject-matter experts to review results and refine solutions efficiently
Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or Physics
- Strong programming skills in Python or C++ (knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript is an advantage)
- Hands-on experience with application or UI development and data ingestion/parsing
- Working knowledge of data analysis or signal/image processing concepts
- Familiarity with Git and standard software development practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to non-destructive evaluation techniques such as UT/PAUT, EC, RT/DR/CT, or thermography, along with related inspection standards
- Experience with rule-based systems, decision trees, workflow modeling, or state-machine design
- Proficiency with the Python ecosystem (NumPy, SciPy, pandas), image libraries (OpenCV, scikit-image), or UI frameworks (Dash/Plotly, React, Qt)
- Experience parsing CAD or text formats (e.g., STEP/IGES, DXF, STL) and working with geometry libraries; basic regex or NLP knowledge
- Understanding of filtering, registration, and feature extraction techniques; familiarity with machine learning is a plus
