Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing cyber defense strategies to protect organizational assets from cyber threats.
- Monitor and assess security alerts and events to detect potential security incidents or weaknesses.
- Perform security assessments and penetration testing to evaluate the efficacy of current security measures.
- Support incident response efforts by investigating security incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulatory mandates.
- Document processes, procedures, and discoveries to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with network security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Experience using cybersecurity tools and frameworks like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferably, prior experience in cyber defense roles or internships.
