Skills Required
As per the requirements of the role, the ideal candidate should have experience in designing and building complex software applications that can scale, and should be capable of collaborating with product, design, and other engineering teams for driving execution.
Strong coding practices that include documentation, unit testing, continuous integration, source control (GIT), and peer code-reviews are also required.
The candidate should possess experience in design patterns and should be able to discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills are essential, along with excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Additionally, a deep understanding of backend services and APIs for third-party consumption, as well as modern development practices and languages like Java and Go, are necessary.
Familiarity with cloud, CI/CD practices, and tools like Maven, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, SonarQube, etc. is a must.
Experience in working with SQL Server databases, J2EE, XML, JMS, Web Development, Javascript, and Web APIs for device integration is also crucial.
Exposure to monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, etc. would be an added advantage.
