ITRON Off Campus Hiring 2025 – Apprentice
Job Title: Apprentice – Firmware Testing (Fresher)
Location: Bangalore
Type: Onsite Apprenticeship
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sound understanding of embedded systems and hands-on exposure to validating firmware written in C or Assembly.
- Familiarity with ARM-based microcontrollers and their architecture.
- Knowledge of firmware and protocol testing; exposure to RF technologies and battery-powered devices is an added advantage.
- Experience with automation tools or scripting in C# or Python is beneficial.
- Strong communication abilities to coordinate effectively with global engineering teams.
Eligibility
- Fresh graduates with a B.E/B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Computer Science.
- Candidates from the 2024/2025 batches without prior industry or apprenticeship experience.
- Keen interest in embedded systems, firmware validation, and hardware-level testing.
- Enthusiasm to learn new tools, technologies, and processes in a structured training environment.
Essential Skills
- Practical understanding of both Linux and Windows operating environments.
- Proficiency in Python programming for automation or testing tasks.
- Basic exposure to shell scripting or developing keywords in Robot Framework is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal communication, and a positive attitude.
- High attention to detail and patience for thorough testing activities.
