Associate Quality Services – QS – Chennai

About the Team:

The QS team is responsible for conducting manual testing on a variety of products and services within the Amazon ecosystem. Our goal is to empower Amazon to be the most customer-centric company by delivering prompt, reliable, and high-quality manual testing services and solutions.

Job Description:

Conduct test plans and execute test cases, including the creation of test data, and communicate results in a timely, clear, and concise manner.

Understand the functionality of the project or product and remain adaptable to changing requirements and documentation.

Actively identify gaps in test cases and extend the scope beyond test cases to uncover issues or bugs.

Implement processes to comprehensively test product changes.

Be agile and responsive to changing project priorities, demonstrating the ability to quickly adjust testing strategies.

Conduct root cause analyses for identified bugs or issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This involves, but is not limited to:

Adhering to pre-defined standard operating procedures (SOP), test methods, and processes.

Executing test cases for small, simple components or features related to apps, services, or devices to ensure they operate as designed. Meeting daily productivity and quality targets. Logging bugs or failures related to test instructions and/or quality mechanisms. Monitoring bug resolution according to service level agreements (SLAs).

Contributing ideas for project improvements to streamline daily routines when applicable.

Influencing the quality of assigned components and features.

Gaining knowledge from peers, on-the-job training, and content provided by the Device and Quality team (e.g., SharePoint, Wiki, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:

Educational Qualification: BE, BTech, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), BSc Computers, BCA, MSc Information Technology (IT).

Work Experience: Minimal or no previous experience required.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrating problem-solving analytical skills and testing acumen.

Exhibiting excellent attention to detail and working with the highest level of accuracy.

Having good familiarity with the Windows desktop environment and proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, IE, Firefox, etc.

Displaying flexibility and interest in performing repetitive tasks.

Possessing a sense of ownership, drive, and a willingness to tackle daily challenges and deadlines.

Additional Information:

Domestic Relocation: Not Provided

Shifts: Primarily 8 AM to 5 PM (subject to change based on business requirements)

Weekly Off: Saturday and Sunday (subject to change based on business requirements)
